This excursion is a circular route starting and ending at the Aventura Motor Vera HQ at the BP petrol station on the main road between Garrucha and Vera in the province of Almeria. (Ctra. Vera-Garrucha Km 1.8).
This is not a historic or sightseeing route; this is a rugged journey through some beautiful but arid landscapes.
Heading out from basecamp, we pass under the AVE railway line, ford a river (if it has been raining), and enter into the maze of tracks criss-crossing the countryside between, Garrucha, Mojacar and Vera.
From dust tracks to minor roads, with rabbits and tortoises crossing in front of you, steep inclines and declines and some landscape that you think “will my buggy make it through?”, 4-wheel drive is a must.
With some stunning landscapes, sea views over Garrucha, twists and turns and a few surprises, this is a fun packed route that will get your heart racing.
Heading back the way we entered the labyrinth, letting the dust blow out of our hair along the winding back roads.
Even though route is a bit more technical than the others, anyone can do it and you will surely be impressed with your driving abilities by the time we get back to Aventura Motors HQ.
Comfortable and suitable clothes that you do not mind getting dusty, dirty or muddy. Depending on the route and time of year, we will pass through very dry and dusty areas, but we may also pass through areas of water and muddy conditions.
