This excursion starts and ends at the ES BP Vera, located at Ctra. Vera-Garrucha Km 1.8 in Vera(starting point on map), in the province of Almeria, as it is a circular route.
The route starts from the ES BP Vera by the service road to Vera Playa where it runs between 3 and 4 km from the beach of Quitapellejos to the beach of Fabrica del Duro. At this point again by the road AL8106 leaving the lane and ascending and descending the slope of the wadi leaving behind the old mining village of "El Arteal" starting the ascent through a typical landscape area of the Sierra de Almeria until you reach the Mina Nueva where there will be an informative stop on the history and economic development of mining in the province.
We descend to continue along the wadi in the area of Especieros to Los Lobos, taking the opportunity to walk around the village and returning again by the Camino de los Especieros to Sierra Almagrera. The road that runs parallel to the Barranco del Jaroso where you can see the remains of mining operations until you reach the Mina Mayor where we make a second stop to echo the history of the province.
We will return along the same path and continue along the Barrando de la Manzanera until we reach the Mirador de Águilas, where we will make another stop, and we will be able to contemplate the course between the east coast of Almería and the Costa Cálida of Murcia.
We will finish the route at this point by returning to the starting point.
Comfortable and suitable clothes that you don't mind if they get dusty or muddy because depending on the route we may pass through water, mud or areas where there is a lot of dust.
